Why DashByte exists
I began my career as a pharmacist, and later worked across pharmacovigilance, clinical research operations and commercial analytics. The path gave me two perspectives: the user of analytics and the one doing the analysis and designing analytics solutions.
The work I enjoy most is taking scattered, messy information and making it clear and genuinely useful. Seeing a team stop debating the numbers, understand what's happening and get time back is what I find satisfying.
What I saw too often was organisations investing heavily in data and technology without getting the clarity they expected. Reports multiplied, meetings went in circles, and teams still struggled to see what mattered.
I started DashByte to bridge that gap, combining pharma understanding with practical analysis and well-designed reporting, so teams can get more value from the data they already have.
Why I care about visual analytics
One of the most powerful ways to make sense of complex data is to see it. Good visual design can reveal patterns, exceptions and relationships that are difficult to find in a dense report. It turns something overwhelming into something people can actually work with.
I want to help more people understand the role design plays in effective analytics. I speak about data visualisation and information design, including a recent talk to a Sydney’s data and analytics community on why dashboards fail and how to design them better.
The aim is to help more people feel confident making sense of and working with their data more effectively.
